"all americ • hen" collage on vintage wall paper, 4 x 5.5 inches.

Playing with printing on vintage wall paper backs. This time with an ink jet printer. I found this chicken image and, I don't know why, thought American... Americ-hen. Well, after that, I made an All Americ-hen, an African Americ-hen, a Chinese Americ-hen, and lastly, ok, this is a stretch, Rebel-hen (rebellion).

After working on the printing, I thought of adding elements that were relative to the theme: stamps, recipes, and in some, rubber stamping. I loved the black print that was already on the wall paper too, especially this one with the WF encircled.

They seemed a bit flat, so melted crayon and beeswax was added to give some depth and color.

View them all on flickr, or you can buy one on Etsy.
